Just read the instructions carefully. But on the rare occasion I do not finish the bottle, it was easy enough to use. This works well but I never use it because I always finish the bottle of wine. If you are not an alcoholic this might be of more use to you.
For the price I paid, it was a good purchase. the stainless steel construction of the body makes this pump stand out and shine just a little better then a product of similar quality made out of just plastic. This is a nice product. I have only used it a couple times but it has performed as well as expected or promised.
After fiddling with it a while, the material on one of the seals loosened up some and now sometimes works. I was disappointed with quality of this pump-it didn't work.
It is better than nothing, though. I have another one which is slightly bulkier with larger stoppers, but that one works much better. I guess you get what you pay for. It seems to do the job, but I was not that impressed with the product. It does not take out the air to the extent that I would like it to.
Well made and I'm guessing it works very well, but I have not tried it out yet. No directions or literature comes with it, so you have been warned. I actually thought I was ordering a wine opener, but it turned out to be a device that takes the air out of the bottle (of wine)so it stays fresh longer. If I had not looked this item up on google, I would still be puzzling about how you get the darned thing to open your wine.
